Crashing of a network is reducing the time required to complete an activity in order to reduce the completion time of the whole project. To achieve this, additional resources are assigned to that activity but reducing the duration time of the activities on the critical path may change the critical path. The primary goal of crashing is to shorten the project while also keeping costs at a minimum.
